First Cornbread of the Season
Dear Ellen,
I don't know if you eat cornbread seasonally, do you? Also, I am going to call you tomorrow!
Cornbread is not a seasonal food. It is a staple. For fall, serve it with roasted squash and pork roast. I prefer it summer soaked in purple hull pea pot liquor or with butter and honey Hannah-style. Miss you and your cornbread, too.
Seasonally? Would that be with salt, or pepper??
